Alternate Rowing Position
Improve your rowing efficiency when you're carrying a load in the back of the boat.
The Alternate Rowing Position consists of a removable seat and an extra pair of oar sockets. A removable longitudinal seat spans the gap between the bow seat and the center seat, so you can sit further forward while rowing. An additional set of oarlocks lets you row comfortably from this position, so you can counterbalance additional weight at the stern.
- Light weight fiberglass seat is easy to install and remove in seconds.
- Helpful when transporting only one passenger in the stern, or when you're hauling gear while traveling solo.
- Alternate Rowing Position is an optional upgrade on the 10' Navigator, 9.5' Captain's Gig, and 8' Nisqually.
The seat is custom-built to fit the individual boat. This option must either be selected during initial construction OR the boat must be present to retrofit the seat and add the 2nd set of oar sockets.
